The Maker

Our Little Studio - Workspace

- in a getting rid of mess day :)-

I have no staff, no interns, no assistant — a thoroughly one-woman labor of love that is also my life and my livelihood.

As always I am open to new collaborations with others makers, retailers, PopUp stores, shared workspaces etc.

Hello and thank you for visiting my web-shop, especially this page ❀

I'm Katerina, originally from Greece and a proud mother of two wonderful daughters. Supported by my encouraging partner, we embarked on a new adventure almost 6 years ago by moving from Greece to the Netherlands. Prior to this, I had a career as a business analytics consultant in various companies. Opting for a fresh start with our relocation, I left my last job to pursue something I'm truly passionate about.

In 2020, I launched Fitolojio Workshop as a slow and ethical fashion brand, materializing an idea that had been brewing in my mind for years. The concept of upcycling always intrigued me, stemming from my roots in a small traditional village in south Greece with a rich history of weaving textiles.

Growing up, the old couch chest in our home held treasures – textiles saved by my mother and grandmothers. Opening it was like stepping into a world of memories, where the scent and touch of those old fabrics were truly special. Now, some of those textiles have been passed down to us, inspiring the unique pieces you find here.

My journey into fashion and design began in 2013 when I attended a sewing and pattern making seminar to break away from my daily routine as a consultant. The seed was planted, and by 2015, my partner gifted me my first sewing machine for my birthday.

In 2018, I furthered my skills by taking a 3 month course in Fashion Design and Business in fashion at the Athens Fashion Club Incubator. Each day brings new lessons,  trial and error, experimenting with different methods and techniques. I stay abreast of developments in circular economy, sustainability, and fashion.

I sincerely hope you find as much joy in my unique pieces as I do. Thank you for being a part of my story.

Αγάπη, Liefs, Love (and Flowers)
