Fabric is precious.

We've put together a few guidelines to help you care for your new purchase. We always pre-wash any washable fibres prior the deconstruction process begins following the care labels. We recommend to wash light and bright colours separately, as some colours may run in their first few washes. Please note, these care tips are guidelines only and variations will apply to some fabrics. Special washing instructions will apply to some fabrics such as sequinned, beaded, coated or foiled fabrics as well as specialty weights/styles and delicate items. Raw Silk

Soft and lustrous, raw silk is a natural fabric made from untreated silk. It is inherently non toxic, hypoallergenic and features a matte, nubby texture. With natural breathability, subtle stretch and durability, raw silk is perfect to wear throughout the seasons. The occasional shade or darker weaving variations are inherent to the fabric and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality of each garment. Raw silk tends to stretch with wear and will go back to true fit after washing and drying.  

Hand or machine wash in cold water with mild detergent on a gentle cycle. Lay flat or tumble dry low and cool. This fabric will continue to soften with washing and wear, enhancing natural texture. Over time, subtle fading may occur in dark colors.

Silk Jersey

A light to medium weight fabric with a broken-in vintage texture, luxurious drape, and soft stretch. This fabric gains character with age and feels soft against your skin. It’s breathable and naturally moisture wicking, making it a favorite choice throughout seasons.

To maintain the original texture and shape of silk jersey pieces, we recommend hand washing in cold water and air drying. For a worn-in feel and additional nubby texture, carefully machine wash in cold on delicate cycle. 

Silk Charmeuse 

A finely woven 100% silk fabric with a fluid drape and beautiful sheen that is synonymous with elegance. 

Hand wash cold, spot clean or dry clean. Iron with silk setting with garment inside out.

Silk Linen

A special blended fabric that combines the fluid softness of silk with the crisp structure of linen. Durable, yet luxurious, this material softens over time and develops texture after washing.

Hand wash in cold water or dry clean. Iron on a warm setting.

Linen Cotton

Blended linen and cotton fabric provides the structure and natural texture of linen with the softness and stretch of cotton. Our linen cotton pieces fit best after a few washes and wears, as the fabric will soften and stretch to form a beautiful fit. The occasional color variations are inherent to the fabric and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of each garment.

Wash by hand, dry clean, or spot clean as needed. With a machine, use a gentle cycle and tumble dry low, allowing for up to 1/2" of shrinkage. This piece will arrive pre-washed but will continue to soften with washing and wear.

Cotton Twill

Woven with a characteristic diagonal weave pattern, cotton twill is breathable and soft, yet durable. It is easy to care for and will continue to soften as it’s washed and worn. Over time, cotton twill will maintain its color and achieve an increasingly beautiful drape. 

Simply machine wash cold and tumble dry. If wrinkle removal is desired, steam or press with low heat.

Cotton Poplin

Tightly woven 100% cotton provides strength and durability while maintaining a soft and lightweight feel. The crisp structure and smooth finish add a sophisticated and timeless silhouette to any piece.

Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Air or tumble dry low and iron warm.

Textured Cotton

This 100% cotton fabric is substantial and structured, yet naturally textured and soft. Pre-washed, this soft fabric has the coveted feel of a well-worn favorite. We fine-tuned the fabric dying process to create shades that embody a timeless yet elevated quality that is characteristic of genuine vintage.

Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on with low heat after partial air dry. Iron warm.

Waffled Cotton

A summer wardrobe staple, the 100% waffled cotton has a soft and gauzy feel with a semi-sheer open weave construction. Features a honeycomb texture and billowy, romantic drape. This lightweight, breathable cotton is an all season fabric that feels wonderful against your skin and will continue to soften with washing and wear.

Hand wash with like colors. Air dry.

Striped

This lightweight, breathable blend is reminiscent of a well worn vintage fabric. The combination of  rayon, cotton, and linen creates a soft and silky feel in a classic stripe print. With a beautiful, effortless drape, this fabric will become a wardrobe favorite. 

Hand or machine wash cold. Air or machine dry low heat.

Rayon Mesh

An intricate and beautifully lightweight woven fabric made with 100% rayon. Features a billowy, sheer quality, a soft drape and delicate texture. Drapes perfectly over swimwear or bodysuits and feels soft and delicate against your skin.

Hand wash with cold water or spot clean. Lay flat to dry.

Rayon Twill

Soft and sumptuous,  rayon is a natural fiber derived from wood. Rayon twill is a tightly woven lightweight fabric, with a buttery feel and silky structure. Rayon is breathable, moisture absorbent, and easily packable.

Hand wash in cold water or dry clean. Iron on a warm setting.

Alpaca

Warm, durable, and luxurious, alpaca is a beautiful fiber that is naturally water-repellent and hypoallergenic. Alpaca is soft to the touch and is a wonderful textile that provides superior warmth across all seasons. 

Hand wash in cold water with gentle detergent, lay flat or dry clean. 

Rippled Cotton 

Substantial and warm - this 100% cotton knit is reminiscent of vintage. Perfect for year-round wear, the hand and look of this exquisite fabric creates a combination of style and ease. 

Machine wash in cold water on delicate, lay flat or tumble dry low ( zero heat ) and remove promptly. A gentle downward steam we encourage the fibers to expand & stretch.

Velvet

Dry clean only. Do not spot clean. Never iron as ironing is likely to crush or flatten the natural pile. A hand held steamer can be used to remove creasing. Alternatively, hand your fabric or garment in a steamy bathroom as the steam may help relax any creasing. We would recommend that you unpack your fabric upon arrival and store it rolled, rather than folded. Velvet garments are best kept handing. Avoid using clip hangers as these can bruise or mark the fabric.

Nylon / Polyester

Dry cleanable, cold machine wash, tumble dry on low temperature, cool iron, do not bleach.

Laces / Jacquards

Dry clean only. Please note some of these fabrics are delicate so please be careful against rough surfaces and snagging.
