Upcycle

/ˈʌpsʌɪk(ə)l/

Reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.

Fitolojio Workshop breathes new life into cherished textiles, salvaging preloved garments like antique woolen blankets, quilts, and vintage upholstery fabrics discovered in vintage markets, hidden second-hand gems, and exclusive online finds. This metamorphosis elevates the ordinary into extraordinary designs.

Embracing creativity and honoring individuality, Fitolojio Workshop transforms, deconstructs, and revitalizes textiles that were once dismissed as worthless and outdated. This process breathes new life into them, accentuating their unique details and giving them a fresh, vibrant wearable identity.

The designer/ maker says:

I find joy in beautifying and enhancing the world around me...💚as my vision is for our world to regain its green and vibrant essence, which is why I exclusively use pre-existing materials.

Often, I enjoy blending different textiles and textures. If a pattern and its form resonate with me, I maintain it while adding personalized touches like spacious pockets from vintage upholstery fabric or embellishments with antique linen doilies and exquisite buttons.

Other times I completely change the usage of the pattern itself.

For example, a vintage sleeping bag or woolen blanket may evolve into a unique jacket or vest."

An important part of upcycling is communicating the story behind the used materials, the value and uniqueness of each garment.

No two pieces are ever the same and this is an important part of the process for Fitolojio Workshop.

"I appreciate the diversity in people, and that's reflected in Fitolojio's Workshop style, which embraces various approaches."

Timeless yet fresh, upcycling is Fitolojio Workshop’s signature.

Love Yourself

The time will come when, with elation, you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror, and each will smile at the other’s welcome, and say, sit here. Eat. You will love again the..

you will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life, whom you ignored for another, who knows you by heart. Sit. Feast on your life.
